Tubal Ligation Reversal
Tubal ligation reversal is the microsurgical procedure used for the reversal of tubal sterilization. It helps women who have had tubal ligations but later regret their decision and desire fertility in the future.
Tubal ligation reversal procedure takes two to three hours and is done under general anesthetic. In order to make fallopian tubes functional again, the doctor will unclamp, reattach and remove any devices that may be blocking your tubes or place an implant into your fallopian tubes. Patient usually requires a hospital stay of at least one night. In some cases, patient may need to remain in the hospital for as much as five days after the surgery. Once you leave the hospital, you can expect the complete recovery from the procedure over the course of next four to six weeks.
