Surrogacy + IVF

When a woman carries a pregnancy and gives birth to a baby for another woman, it is known as Surrogacy. The term IVF surrogacy is used where a woman carries a pregnancy created by the egg and sperm of genetic couple. The carrier is not genetically related to the child.

IVF surrogacy is preferred when women whose ovaries are producing eggs but they do not have uterus because they had a hysterectomy. Women whose uterus is malformed or damaged and is incapable of carrying a pregnancy to term may also be recommended IVF surrogacy. In cases, where woman suffers from medical problems like diabetes, heart and kidney diseases and for whom a pregnancy could be life threatening, IVF could be suggested.
