Just wanted to thank you, my trip to India was a success.  I'm feeling better everyday and The staff at Max hospital was great and I'm am very pleased with Dr. Peters.  I have been losing weight daily and I will follow up with pictures after a more significant weight loss.

 

I was also pleased with the Med Journeys staff everyone was very attentive and made me feel comfortable considering I was by myself and so far from home.  I would definitely recommend Med Journeys and use your company again if necessary.

I just wanted to touch bases with you.  My trip went well and Deepak and Prabha did a great job in assisting me and looking after me.  My stay in the guest house was very comfortable and the food was excellent.  I think that so far my overall experience has been very good.  I feel that my recovery is proceeding well and that I just have to be patient and go very slowly.  Once I am feeling better I would like to write a decent letter about my excellent experiences in the hospital, in the guest house, and how Med Journeys handled everything. Med Journeys you are great! The itinerary was followed through step by step. We did not experience moments of doubt, anxiety, or confusion. After landing in Costa Rica my husband and I were taken directly to the dentist Dr. Simon Flikier, as per our itinerary. Dr. Flikier spoke English and had a great friendly attitude. His staff also had a great attitude. His office was conducive to relaxation. I had multiple procedures done and was pain free.

 

El Rodeo hotel was a comfortable setting. The staff was courteous; the meals were delicious; and the rooms were inviting. The beds were even dressed in pristine white comforters.

 

Bill Cook and Starlene Spencer and staff managed and coordinated every aspect of my hospital experience. My hospital stay was anxiety free. Clinica Biblica hospital was clean and modern. My hospital room was spacious and furnished nicely with a flat screen television. The hospital staff was patient, polite, professional, and experienced. My husband and I spoke little Spanish, but it didn't seem to be an issue. My surgeon Dr Carlos Quesada was outstanding.

 

Our drivers were prompt and courteous. The tours we went on were fantastic.

 

Going with Med Journeys I saved thousands of dollars. My medical insurance refused to pay for any bariatric procedures and my dental insurance did not cover much of my dental needs.

I chose Med Journeys to assist me with medical tourism this fall, after deciding on lapband surgery that was not covered by my insurance. I had read about the organization in several articles in Business magazines, and in AARP publications. When I contacted them, I was impressed with their desire to match my needs and background with the best program. They suggested Dr. Malhatra in New Delhi , and after checking his credentials, I agreed. MedJourneys helped me with the Visa process, and relayed information about pre-surgery diet requirements.

 

It is now nearly two months after my surgery, and I remain an enthusiastic supporter of medical tourism, Med Journeys and Dr. Malhatra's program. Even though I have traveled internationally alone before, I would not have attempted a medical trip without a trusted organization. MedJourneys and the physician know the recovery time needed, and provide the extra support needed to make the trip more easily. For me, the features of the program I especially liked were knowing the costs in advance, being met at the airport and assisted through the hospital check-in process, and having a cell phone with all the relevant numbers so I could easily communicate with my case manager, the guest house, or the physician. As a person traveling alone, it was very helpful to have the case manager available if I was having problems communicating with hospital staff, or had questions. MedJourneys advocacy was respected by the hospital, and I felt confident that I would receive excellent care.

 

The guesthouse was a wonderful part of the experience, and I would strongly recommend that medical tourists add the Agra trip. Even though it is a long drive, the drive through the countryside was beautiful and interesting, with camels pulling huge wagons, students carrying book bags on their heads, and goats being herded skillfully along the shoulders of the road. I felt like I had a better sense of what this part of India was like than just the city itself.

 

Dr. Malhatra and the entire hospital staff were great, and I am not a fan of hospitals. What I especially appreciated at Artemis was the opportunity to question the medical staff who took time to answer any questions I had. The radiologists, the nutritionist, and other staff would explain what they were doing and why they were doing it. This was very different from my experiences with American hospitals. Dr. Malhatra gave me excellent advice about handling my diet change when I returned home. He pointed out problems I might experience, and what to do about it. That kind of detail was very much appreciated. The opportunity to purchase and have fitted custom-made anti-embolism stockings (at a price below the cost of standard stockings that do not fit me) was reassuring to me. I made the long trip home much more confidently knowing that every care had been taken to ensure my continued good health. I was also impressed with hospital administration that checked in periodically to find out if I were satisfied with my experience, and to ask how they were doing meeting my needs. In my experience teaching Business Management, this kind of pro-active customer questioning is what builds successful programs. I expect Artemis to have a bright future, and I would strongly recommend them to any medical tourist.
