RANDY A. - Heart By Pass Surgery

I had a heart blockage and have been taking a lot of nitroglycerin, I had two heart attacks and had 19 angiograms, angioplasties, and 12 stents. All this has cost at least $650,000 and my out-of-pocket

Was probably about $75,000 - $80,000

I am self employed so I didn't have any health insurance. A by-pass surgery was unaffordable in America . I had seen a clip on 60 minutes about a guy what went to Thailand for his surgery and started looking at the internet. I found Med Journeys and a few others but liked Med Journeys.

I had seen an article in AARP about Med Journeys and started talking to them. I researched everything. I was more worried about the hospitals and the doctors. I could have done it on my own but the only thing was the unsurity of the country not knowing. and I figured it was worth paying Med Journeys to do it. Many others didn't seem they had it all together as Med Journey did. They didn't have hospitals that I liked and did not seem like they have their steps together. Going overseas, I could not picture them doing it right.

Med Journeys had the whole thing going and made great arrangement without any hassles. Their staff in India met us at the airport, picked us up, took us to the hospital and took good care of my wife too.

When I arrived at the hospital it was at night and was still a bit leary. In the morning, I saw the scenery and other parts of the hospital and especially the technology was really good and I didn't feel worried about having my open heart surgery. Moreover the hospital was very Clean.

My surgeon was Top notch, His background is really good. And Dr. Hassan was the surgeon and he did very good too. He has been here in the states for about 10 years or more. Very highly qualified. Really good , one -on- one. I didn't have any other doctors here in the States that saw me twice a day after I was out , Explained everything before we started. They were real great.

The Charter house Guest House was very nice, it was a really nice pleasant place, there were very nice people, try to really accommodate you. You couldn't ask for a better place, and better people, they were great.

I would recommend Med Journeys. They did a great job and there were no complaints. They followed up before hand and made it pleasant. I never planned on having surgery. They made it no hassle, that is the big thing. I think in America that is important, no hassle. But they did great. I was very happy.

ROBIN B. - Cardiac Pacemaker Replacement

Hello, Jeff,

I returned from my trip to India yesterday -

I just wanted to drop you a note and first say thank you for being there on Christmas Eve day and answering your phone when all this started. That was the first event that determined in my mind that MedJourneys was going to be my choice. All of your help and everything that followed confirmed that this has been a great decision.

Medically, everything has turned out well. The doctors were terrific, and the guest house was definitely a good place for recovery. Prabha videotaped a testimonial but it was not nearly enough to let people know how well MedJourneys handled things. And in case that video doesn't turn out well (I am not good at being filmed- my wedding video is proof of that!), I am happy to provide a written version that would be much more comprehensive, especially for pacemaker patients like me. I am feeling very good after the procedure, although I will need a great deal of sleep to recover from the seemingly endless journey back!

Take care and thanks again.

Robin
