Lip Implant or Lip Augmentation is a non-surgical treatment that creates fuller, plumper lips and reduces fine lines around the mouth. The procedure is used for enhancement, augmentation of lip volume, definition of lip profile, and/or lip remodelling.

A pharmaceutical filler substance or your own fat is injected below the skin surface to plump the lips. Fat is typically taken from the inner thigh or abdomen.

The results of soft tissue augmentation with injectable fillers are not permanent, even though a filler substance may be considered permanent. The continued aging process of your face and variables in the absorption of fillers will affect how long your results last.

After the procedure, you may experience mild swelling or bruising. There may also be temporary numbness or redness. The treated areas may appear "over-filled". These conditions can be alleviated with topical icing and will improve within a matter of hours or just a few days. Where fat is the injected filler, these conditions may persist for a few weeks.
