Peridontics

Periodontology, or Periodontics, is the branch of dentistry which studies supporting structures of teeth, and diseases and conditions that affect them. The supporting tissues are known as the periodontium, which includes the gingiva (gums), alveolar bone, cementum, and the periodontal ligament. The word comes from the Greek words peri meaning around and odons meaning tooth. Literally taken, it means study of that which is "around the tooth". This particular field aims removing the infection in the gums and the bones by specialised corrective procedures like curettage, flap surgery, bone grafting, repositioning soft tissue flaps etc

Implantology

A dental implant is an artificial tooth root replacement and is used to support restorations that resemble a tooth or group of teeth. A typical implant consists of a titanium screw (resembling a tooth root) with a roughened or smooth surface. Implant surgery is performed as an outpatient under general anesthesia (if several implants are to be placed) or with local anesthesia (for simple cases) by trained and certified clinicians . A single implant procedure takes about an hour, ; multiple implants can be installed in a single surgical session lasting several hours. Healing and integration of the implant(s) with jawbone occurs over three to six months in a process called osseointegration after which the crowns/bridges are fabricated and attached to the implants

Cosmetic Dentistry

Cosmetic dentistry, is comprehensive oral care that combines art and science to optimally improve dental health, aesthetics and function.Today's common cosmetic dental treatment options include: Whitening, or "tooth bleaching", is the most common cosmetic dental procedure. Contouring also know as tooth reshaping, is one of few instant treatments now available in cosmetic dentistry. Dental reshaping and contouring is a procedure to correct crooked teeth, chipped teeth, cracked teeth or even overlapping teeth in just one session. Bonding is a process in which an enamel-like dental composite material is applied to a tooth's surface, sculpted into shape, hardened and then polished. Veneers are ultra-thin, custom-made laminates that are bonded directly to the teeth. They are an option for closing gaps or disguising discolored teeth that do not respond well to whitening procedures. Gum lift and bleaching is a cosmetic dental procedure that raises and sculpts the gum line. The procedure involves reshaping the tissue and/or underlying bones to create the appearance of longer or more symmetrical teeth. Gum Bleaching removes the darker superficial gum layer giving you a lighter gums and a visibly better smile.

Endodontics

Endodontics, from the Greek endo (inside) and odons (tooth) and deals with the tooth pulp and the tissues surrounding the root of a tooth. If the pulp (containing nerves, vessels etc) has become diseased or injured, endodontic treatment is required to save the tooth. Endodontists are dentists who have specialized in this field. They specialize and limit their practice to root canal therapy and root canal surgery, and use their special training and experience in treating difficult cases, such as teeth with narrow or blocked canals, or unusual anatomy. Patients requiring root canal therapy are referred by our resident dentists to the endodontist or are self referred.

Pediatric Dentistry

Pediatric Dentistry is the branch of dentistry dealing with children from birth through adolescence. This discipline focuses intimately on pediatric/adolescent growth and development, disease causality and prevention, child psychology and management, and all aspects of the highly-specialized Pediatric restorative techniques and modalities. Pediatric Dentists also super-specialize in the care of "special needs" patients, such as people with cerebral palsy, mental retardation and autism.
