Spinal Surgery

"I am writing to express my sincere thanks for all the work and arrangements that Med Journeys did for me so that I could have my much needed spinal surgery done in such a quick manner.
I was very impressed by all of the hospital staff at Artemis Hospital, especially my surgeon Dr. Hedge and his assistants. They were all wonderful and explained everything down to the detail of what they were going to do and then again afterwards, what had been done. The nurses were absolutely wonderful as well. When I pushed my call button they were there immediately...not like here in America where you have to wait and wait for a nurse to come. We were very impressed to say the least! We were treated like celebrities during the whole stay in the hospital.
The guest house that you sent us to for recovery was wonderful with beautiful grounds. The Bhutani family were wonderful people who treated us like long time friends, and the food they served was delicious.
It was an exciting experience for us and will never be forgotten. The best part of all of this is that the cost of going to India to have my surgery, the guest house and plane fare came to less than one quarter of what it would have cost us here in the U.S. just to have the surgery.

Knee Replacement Surgery

Thank you for your e-mails and staying in touch with my situation. I have been out of town for a week and just got your e-mails. I am very happy to report, that I am doing significantly better............I spoke with some people that I know that have had knee replacement surgery and they suggested setting the crutches aside and work on walking without them. So I did. The first couple of days were difficult and then, everything seemed to respond very nicely. I have now not used the crutches for 8 days and am very encouraged and in much less pain. I don't feel that I need to bother Dr. Marya at this point. I very much appreciate his and your willingness to help. Thank You. Please tell Prabha you manager in India that we love her and that we thank her for her help.
Tim, you and your Med Journey's staff have always kept every commitment you have ever made to Jacque and myself. Even now, coming up on 3 months after our trip and surgery, you are still involved and truly caring. You are still taking your time and going way beyond what is expected to see that I have a great outcome. In a time when it's hard to even remember what customer service is like........it has been amazing to experience how well you have treated us. I truly appreciate that you really care!

Gastric By-Pass

"Med Journeys is a wonderful organization. My husband and I were so impressed with how well we were taken care of from the start of our inquiries to the return from India after surgery. I was impressed right away with the kind and thorough, but not pushy responses from Tim and Jeff about the process of traveling abroad for medical treatment. I had many questions that I needed to ask and they were patient with me while being expedient when I finally made up my mind to make sure that everything fell into place in a short time frame. Prabha was so helpful in Delhi by picking us up at the airport, checking us into the hospital, introducing us to one of my doctors (who happened to be there at 11:30 pm when we arrived!). Enough can't be said for all she did to make us comfortable and happy for the entire duration of our stay. Dr. Vashistha, Dr. Gupta, and all of the staff at the hospital couldn't have been kinder or more caring. The hospital facilities were as nice as any in the states, but what was different was the amount of attention patients receive. The hospital has a huge staff and it seems they all work as a team. On average, my nurse only had 2-4 patients. I know because I asked. My doctors visited me at least 3 times a day, and sometimes more. I could go on and on about the superb care I received at the hospital.  The Bhutani (sp?) family that owns The Charter House was fabulous. They were very accommodating with my special dietary needs. I didn't even have to explain because they have had experience with preparing meals for similar patients recovering. We loved getting out to the market and our trip to see the Taj Majal as well. The cost for my surgery, the round trip airfare, stay at the Recovery Retreat, trips to and from the airport and hospital came to a total far below what I would have paid in the states for the surgery alone. Med Journeys is certainly outstanding in the Medical Tourism business and I would recommend them to anyone needing assistance in finding safe and affordable medical care abroad."

"We had no insurance coverage for a gastric bypass surgery and I will say thanks to med journeys and the hospital/doctors in India. After the bypass had both knees replaced on the same trip, with great success. I have never seen a doctor with so much caring for those he operates on, he was always with me and always available by phone and in person, just a fine man and doctor. As for the hospital it is as nice as any in the states, very well staffed, clean and nice to be in. Med Journeys handled all arrangements here and there, you will love them and their representative in New Delhi and the charter house is very nice. They take care of you at the housing very well, understanding your needs after the operation with food and care. You will feel like one of the family, we would love to see them again in the future. It was a great experience and we are glad we did it."

"What was really wonderful about Med Journeys is their service, and I can’t tell you how much I appreciate everyone involved. "Prabha Chawla, my MedJourneys Rep was absolutely marvelous. All the reps cannot do enough for us they are very good indeed. The hospital was excellent and quite honestly, the standard of care in the hospitals, the physical care and the nursing care was extremely good. I doubt I would have got the same thing in the UK. The Doctor was very good, straightforward and knows exactly what is going on, he tells you everything is good…and he does a really good job.
